Assistant director of Automotive Restoration, Abigayle Morgan, ‘19, has announced her resignation after six years of service to McPherson College. Morgan has accepted a new position at the RPM Foundation, whose mission is to “Support restoration and preservation training programs for the next generation of automotive, motorcycle, and marine craftsmen to ensure critical skills aren’t lost and the future of the collector vehicle industry is sustained.” Morgan is no stranger to the foundation, as she was selected to be an RPM scholar during her time as a student in the Automotive Restoration program. Additionally, RPM Foundation’s partner, LeMay America’s Car Museum, hosted Morgan as an intern in 2017.

“It’s been an absolute dream to work for my alma mater. I believe so deeply in this program and the students. It’s about keeping the industry alive and history on the road.” Morgan says the most rewarding aspect of her time as Assistant Director was working closely with students on their career journey. Morgan organized and hosted the annual career fair for the program, taught career readiness courses as an adjunct instructor, and supervised students on annual Concours trips. The students are sad to see Morgan go, but wish her all the best on the next phase of her journey.
