Erica Almaraz keeps herself busy both off and on campus. “I have been the president of FCA for two years and involved in the club for three years. I am also a first year RA and have been a student athletic trainer for the football team for three years” she states. Almaraz has played softball since her freshman year, where she first began as a short stop and transitioned into a catcher and outfielder. Her major is Health Science, and she plans to eventually finish the masters program and become a certified athletic trainer. One of her long term goals is to “work with the Olympic Training Center and be able to work withthe athletes from other countries that do not have access to athletic trainers.” Almaraz loves to hike in her free time and interns at Integrated Health and Wellness here in McPherson.
