McPherson College Student Life is hosting The Color Run on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10:00 am. Maile Deutsch, Assistant to the Director of Student Life said, “This event is in honor of essential workers and those impacted by COVID-19.” Student Life hopes this event will not only bring awareness for those impacted by COVID-19, but also show appreciation to those who are on the frontlines in our community fighting the virus.
The starting line for the race will be on the empty grass lot adjacent to the Partners in Family Care Health Clinic on campus. Participants must be socially distant and wear masks throughout the race. The course will be marked and the race will consist of two laps, and there will be volunteers who will throw colored powder on the participants at the end of the race. It is suggested to wear white. There will be water stations and first-aid stations with EMS in case of an emergency.
