The McPherson College Women’s Volleyball team wraps up what was once again another productive season, as they went on another consecutive playoff run this year. Despite the Lady Bulldogs getting knocked out of the playoffs the first round this year, they had an outstanding winning record of 15-7 in conference play with an overall record of 22-12. The Lady Bulldogs had great all-around performances from all spots on the court. Among these great team showings, performances such as Lexi Kite and Mady Woog made a significant impact on the team’s production this season. They both were top leaders in the categories of kills and blocks. Kite led the team in kills with a total of 410 kills on the season, and Woog led the team in blocks racking up 100 of them. Performances like these are what help keep the Bulldogs strong in each matchup throughout the season. I spoke with a few of the players about what they feel it’s going to take for the Bulldogs to continue to keep moving in this positive direction and keep having such productive seasons. Sophomore Outside Hitter Bree Wallace states, “It’s going to take a hundred percent commitment from the team, and all of us working together to achieve one common goal. Also, just continuous production from the amazing recruiting classes we have had coming in.” The Lady Bulldogs are looking most promising to be a dominant program again next year, seeing as the entire team will be returning with the exception of their one graduating senior. So, tune in next season at the Lady Bulldogs continue their road to glory.
