On Tuesday, Sept, 19 it came out that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were hanging out and there were rumors that they were dating. After Sunday’s Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears, we can probably come to the conclusion that it is real.
Taylor Swift showed up to Kelce’s game against the Bears and was spotted sitting in Kelce’s suite with Danna Kelce, Travis’s mother. You could tell when they would pan over to that suite, that Swift was paying more attention to Kelce than to anyone else on the Chiefs. Sources say that this was not the first time that Kelce and Swift have hung out together. They have been told that she has been hanging out with Kelce “several times” over that last few months. Kelce and Swift had pregame interactions down on the field before the game that was in a “very private setting”.
Before the game, Travis Kelce calmly told his teammates that Taylor Swift would be at their Sunday game against the Chicago Bears, however, Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, didn’t know if he could believe the news. “He told me at, like, the last minute. There are some things with Trav where he, kind of, just says it and you don’t know if it’s true or not,” Mahomes shared during his post-game press conference after Sunday’s 43-10 win over the Chicago Bears. During the game, Travis Kelce had a touchdown reception and this is what Mahomes had to say about it after the game with Taylor Swift being in attendance, “I knew I had to get it to Trav. he does his own thing and just makes up a route and I throw it to him. I think he wanted to get in the end zone as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.” You could tell after Kelce caught the touchdown pass that Swift was very excited for him. After the game Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said this, “you know what, I’ve met her before and I was the one that set them up,” as he laughs when exiting the press conference room.
After the game, fans believe that Taylor Swift was transported to the Chiefs locker room in a popcorn machine. After the game, Swift and Kelce were walking together to Kelce’s convertible. Kelce and Swift went on a date after the game to Prime Social, a restaurant in Kansas City. They didn’t see any PDA from Taylor and Travis in public, but sources say they were holding hands at the restaurant he rented out for his family, friends and teammates after the game. At some point Taylor was sitting on Travis’ lap. Kelce and Swift were spotted leaving the stadium in Kelce’s convertible that had no tags on it and the top down.
When they got to the restaurant, the people that were already there were told that they had to have their food and drinks ordered by 8:45 p.m. and that they had to be out of the restaurant by 9:00 p.m. When Kelce and Swift got to the restaurant, Swift paid for all of the remaining peoples tabs so that they could have the space to themselves (which Kelce had already reserved the whole restaurant to themselves already).
Since these rumors have happened, Kelce’s jersey sales have jumped up 400 percent in the whole wide world. Even though they say that they aren’t dating, the tides are turning into the time when they will start dating and then the whole world will go crazy. With Taylor coming to Kelce’s game this past weekend is a good sign that they are going in the right direction towards being in a relationship.
