The 5’9 starting pitcher out of Oakdale, California, Blake Maddock, has been an impact player for the Bulldogs since transferring in from Merced College. Recording a 5.12 era in his first season, and 4.30 in his second, Blake is looking to lower his current era back to that mark. In his ultimate season, Maddock has started with a 9.24 era, but of his 12.2 innings pitched, he has recorded 12 strikeouts. When asked what his final season for the bulldogs meant to him, Maddock said: “With this being my last year in school and last season on the field, it is going to be a little bittersweet because I am going to be leaving the place and people I’ve called home for the past three years. But I am going to keep my focus and keep working to go out and give it all I’ve got to finish strong.” Blake will graduate in May with a degree in Health Science. After graduation, Maddock plans to pursue his master’s degree.
