The lights are down. The fog rolls in. The Music is blaring.  It’s Bulldog Madness. Last Sunday both the men’s and women’s basketball teams took the court for the first time of the 2018/19 season. They displayed their skills in front of the whole student body, staff, family and McPherson residents with two different scrimmages; men and women. The student activities board (SAB) handed out t-shirts and milk and cookies for the students to enjoy. To start the night, the cheer and dance team, under control of their new coach, Ashlee Annis, gave an outstanding performance. As always, SAB provided the students with fun games like musical chairs, for a chance to win some amazing prizes. Both teams performed dance routines that brought the student to their feet with laughter and excitement. Student Tameria Macon formed the school’s first step team, who performed before the scrimmages took place. With a breathtaking routine, this new group is sure to bring the heat at upcoming McPherson College events. Since Bulldog Madness, the men’s and women’s teams are both 3-0. Make sure to watch your favorite players take on Central Christian in the Majors Cup game this Wednesday, November 7th. The games take place at the McPherson High School Roundhouse. There will be a student ran carpool Wednesday evening at 5:45pm in the sports center drive. Women play at 6pm, and men play at 8pm. The theme is red out, so make sure to sport your favorite McPherson College apparel. Good luck to all players, and happy basketball season!
