The Auto Motorsports Club is entering a new chapter.
Junior Paige Milton has taken the lead in reviving the club and bringing together students who share a passion for motorsports. With support from teacher and club supervisor Curt Goodwin, the Auto Motorsports Club has officially restarted and is creating new opportunities for students interested in racing.
The club is open to all students interested in racing whether they follow Formula 1, NASCAR, dirt track racing, or simply enjoy learning about race cars and the motorsport culture. The first event this year was a watch party for the Daytona 500. Where members gathered to experience one of NASCAR’s most iconic races together. The group continues to host watch parties for both Formula 1 and NASCAR races throughout the season.
In addition to having watch parties, the club is planning several upcoming events. These include the SCCA, Sports Car Club of America, Autocross at Road Yoder Autocross Site on April 11, NASCAR races at Kansas Speedway on April 18 and the Salina Speedway Crown Vic Race on April 25.
In just a short time, the club has already attracted members. The goal is not only to have a club with only Auto Restoration students but to expand it and welcome even more students who share a passion for motorsports.
