Last Sunday, was a nightmare for the Dallas Cowboys, failing to stop the Saints which caused them to go one dimensional the rest of the game, making it easy to predict what was coming from Dallas. The first key of this game was to contain Lamar Jackson. Now it’s easier said than done against the two time MVP, he’s a strong runner for a QB but his weakness is staying in the pocket and having to actually throw the football. Now, how in the world is he an MVP player but his weakness is throwing the ball? Well, he is a much better passer whenever he’s out of the pocket and making a big play. The second key of this matchup is to attack Brandon Stephens through the passing attack. The Ravens have a solid corner group with Marlon Humphrey and rookie Nate Wiggins, but he is currently injured so it’s now up to Stephens, who has given up the most catches in the NFL among all corners of the league. The Cowboys need to pick on Stephens, lineman Ceedee Lamb and Brandin Cooks and be creative with the offense and let them tear up that secondary. The third key is for the offense to be efficient! Efficiency on the offensive side of the ball has been a huge issue so far this season and is due to the lack of creativity with the ball. The Cowboys need to implement more pre snap and post snap motion so they can confuse the defense and create more firepower. Dallas is the 3rd lowest in the league with explosive plays that speak for themselves. It’s time for the play calling to improve or else the Cowboys will be playing catch up for the rest of the season.
