It’s no secret McPherson is an ideal small town with its flourishing main street that’s straight out of a Hallmark movie, especially around Christmas, cute public parks scattered around, and one-of-a-kind events.

If you love history McPherson’s Museum & Arts Foundation is where to go. Its rich examples of town events and honors are displayed for all to see. You can find many stories that might surprise you such as McPherson helping Team USA to an Olympic Gold in Basketball in 1936.

Downtown McPherson is also a great thing to experience with every local business that’s desirable all-in-one place holiday shopping has been made a breeze for locals. Anything you could think of a store has antiques, books, games, food, healthy drinks, fashion, jewelry, candy, furniture, and more.

If culture is what you need, we have something for you as well the McPherson Opera House always is willing to share heartfelt stories and beautiful music. The rustic building is captivating for audiences before even entering into the show. If culture isn’t your thing but entertainment is, then McPherson movie theatre is the place to be. With $2 Tuesdays for college students and popular movies every month, it’s a family must-do.

A popular favorite in anyone’s books is the want for good food and McPherson caters to that as well.
