For McPherson College, Track and Field season is right around the corner. The team is coached by head coach Chad Clevenger and assisted by Tracy Jex. Cole Coggins has been on the track team for four years at McPherson College and runs the 100 and 200 and is looking to compete again after being injured last year and not being able to have a junior season. “I am mostly looking forward to running my first outdoor track season this year,” Coggins said. One thing that Coggins said others can expect to see is national qualifiers again this year. Last year the 4×100 team including Xavier Taylor, Owen Sutherland, Rock Hardison, and Quashad Washington qualified for the NAIA Nationals and that could help the bulldogs make a return to nationals once again this new season and could be a good asset to take into conference and possibly further for the bulldogs. The season opener starts at the Emporia State Spring Invite on March 18.
