After transferring in from Lincoln University, Yaniel Vidal has been an impact player on the Bulldog basketball squad. Vidal has averaged 13.4 in his inaugural season under coach T.J. Eskildsen. His biggest game being a 26-point, eight rebound game against Ottawa University on Jan. 26. From the point guard position, he has been phenomenal. At time of writing, he is 43% from the field, 43% from beyond the 3-point line, and 79% from the foul line has him as one of the more consistent bulldogs. Vidal was asked about this season, he said, “[This] season was tough up to this point, but I just appreciate my coaches and the players I’ve had around me.”
Post-graduation, Vidal wants to stay around basketball, whether it is on or off the court he just wants to be around it. Yaniel Vidal will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
