Shotgun Sports starts its season

Shotgun Sports is coached by Tony Helfrich, who also leads the Adventure Program and the PEAK Leadership Expedition. Helfrich is nationally certified in shotgun coaching and range safety. Assistant coaches are Pete Brubaker and Chris Wallace. The shotgun program is affiliated with the USA College Clay Target League, the Association of College Unions International Clay Targets and the Scholastic Clay Target Program. 

    The eleven members of the team are senior Gabriel Boese, juniors Andrew Deppe and Ethan Huston, sophomores Dryden Powell and Lola Hipp, and freshmen Lindzie Archer, Tate Brewer, Dawson Leech, Thomas Ramaekers, Cat Rust and Riley Sojka. 

    The team competed in the ACUI Greater Midwest Conference Championship on Oct. 22-24, placing eighth as a team in American Trap with 389 points, and fifth as a team in Doubles American Trap with 163 points.
