When watching McPherson College Volleyball one person is hard to not notice making plays on the court is Bailey Avila. Avila spent two years at Frank Phillips College before transferring to McPherson prior to the 2021 season. Since joining the Bulldogs, Avila has played in every game. As a defensive specialist, Avila won’t lead the team in points or kills, but where she shines is on defense. As a defensive specialist, Avila has recorded 154 digs through 14 matches. She has also recorded 29 assists and 2 aces. When asked about this season, Avila said, “This season makes me want to give it my all since it will be my last time I will ever play.” Bailey Avila will graduate as a sports studies major with a bachelor’s degree of science. After McPherson College, Avila plants to go to personal therapist assistant school to be a PTA.
